 We've just started the groundwork on this newbuild detached property on the outskirts of Bishop's Lydeard. It will feature an attached garage and some high-specification features. As ever, we'll be adding new images every few weeks to show progress as the job continues, so please do feel free to visit this page again soon.  Our first set of pictures showing the ground during clearance and also a couple of pictures of the plans, giving an impression of what we'll be building over the coming months.  The superb Quantock soil made digging the footings a very straightforward job, and the concrete pour went well. We're now well underway with the early blockwork, though the cold weather isn't too popular with the team. More photos to follow once we make some real progress with the walls  The blockwork is going well and the property is starting to take shape. Some really mild weather has helped a lot and bricklaying is getting started too.  A day for big boys' toys! The fog didn't stop us cracking on with placing a vast amount of floor beams. This method of construction has many advantages of traditional joists and at little extra cost. The walls have been progressing well too.
