 This job involves building an extension to a detached house, comprising of a garage, two bedrooms and a dining room. This should be a straightforward job, but at this time of year we're always slightly at the mercy of the elements. The first pictures below show the initial stages of building, with the footings continuing to be dug and with some concrete in place.  The walls are starting to go up now and the concrete floors are complete. It's been a little damp but the weather has stayed mild enough for work to progress well.  We've reached the first floor now, and some beams are in place at the rear of the property. We'll be reaching the main roof level within the next week and then we can start getting things waterproof for knocking through into the main building.  After a short Christmas break we've now got the roof joists and waterproof membrane in place, and we're proceeding with tiling. Chris and Artur are doing a great job and within the next couple of weeks we'll be moving on to some of the interior work.
